The Heavy Turret is a weapon unlocked at 20000 Battlescore. The Heavy Turret is an alternative to the Turret, with lower ammunition reserves and a lower fire rate, but heavier damage and better protection.
History
Note: This history is entirely fictional.
The Heavy Turret was a weapon developed the JOHN ORD company, the weapon was a higher calibre more protected crew served counterpart to the Turret developed by Xercephron-LJX Industries. The Heavy Turret eventually stopped production when the JOHN ORD company started to work on their BW line of weaponry, but remained in limited service as it could challenge heavy body armour and even harass light vehicles.
The weapon's design was eventually bought by VTX Works, which gave the weapon a more refined look and a brand new dual feed system, as well as numerous improvements to increase its portability, eventually generating the current crew served machine gun.
General Information
The Heavy Turret's damage is high for an automatic weapon at 275 damage within 50m and 206 damage at 200m and beyond and backed up with a relatively high rate of fire of 750 RPM, the weapon can easily shred players within range,
Compared to the Turret, the Heavy Turret has a bigger front shield. lower magazine size, lower ammo reserves, higher damage and lower rate of fire. All of the downsides of the Turret apply to the Heavy Turret as well such as the inability to move while deployed, needing to be deployed to fire and the shield protecting from all but weapons that have Armor Piercing rounds and Anti-Material Rifles.
Just as you try and counter a deployed Turret user, you can also counter a deployed Heavy Turret user by targeting the visual gap in the frontal shield and blowing their head out with a rifle, a sniper rifle, or just any gun in general. You could also bomb them with explosives like a grenade launcher or a rocket launcher. Additionally, killing them with the above-mentioned armor-piercing rounds works too, but they are usually expensive, as the first armor-piercing rifle you can unlock is the DSR-50, which is quite costly in battlescore. You could also pepper and blast deployed Heavy Turret users with vehicle armaments, such as a Battle Tank or a MAC Tank Finally, surprising or killing them from behind also works as well.
